Félix

The love affair to end all love affairs. Félix, a parisian-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar located at 550 King, could possibly be my favorite Charleston restaurant. Having gone now too many times to count, every bite is still just an incredible as the first and their service just as warm. Félix is a must for me—must try new additions to their menu, must bring friends for lunch, family from out of town… or must make an excuse to bring my partner back for a date. Their staff is charming, inviting you to spend your time indulging in the best of what the area has to offer.

While we have favorites from the menu, you simply can’t go wrong— there’s a variety of sandwiches, entrees, appetizers and salads. A little of whatever you might be craving, perfect for when you don’t know quite what you’re in the mood for. Everything on the menu is fresh and comforting.

Formage Fort

Warmed seasonal french cheese dip, watermelon radish, grilled baguette

The bar is first come first served and while during lunch you’d more than likely be able to walk in, I’d recommend making a reservation if you’d be dinning in the evening. Their bright, crisp blue & white aesthetic transitions as the natural light fades into a moodier, softly lit lounge.

The have a variety of seating; low tops, high tops, half booth, bar and outdoor, and their vibe can be met with any dress. I never feel out of place walking in off of King street in blue jeans for lunch.

Salade C´esar

Romaine, pickled onions, parmigiano-reggiano, house caesar dressing, toasted parmasean crisp

The brasserie club? Are you kidding? I think I’ve ordered this sandwich almost every single time I’ve been in for lunch, weather it stands alone or I split it with my partner on a lunch date it has stood the test of time. And I’m still obsessed with it. The perfect savory bite, filling and creative. Best paired with wine… for me? Usually the Sancerre.

And their fries are outstanding. Beautiful hand cut shoe laces that are definitely in my Top 5 for the greater-Charleston and for sure giving old Micky D’s a run for its money.

Brasserie Club

Grilled chicken, parisian ham, thick-cut bacon, roma tomato, arugula, jalapeño-leek aioli, house cut pommes frites

Félix offers a separate menu for lunch, brunch and dinner— allowing you to sneak in on your lunch break and treat yourself to the rich béarnaise sauce on their petit steak frites. There is crossover on some of the menu items, as well as a few that change in portion between lunch and dinner.

Tender steak, cooked perfectly with a silky béarnaise across the top. What more could you ask for?

Steak Frites

Chef’s 8oz filet mignon, béarnaise, house cut pommes frites

The desserts, like everything else their menu has to offer, are made in house. The last time we were in, they had just added this chocolate torte to the menu that I’m certain I’ll be having for any other visit to come.
